Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the high incidence of dental caries among elementary school children. The aim of this activity was to increase students' knowledge about dental caries and how to prevent it through interactive counseling and the implementation of an educational mobile application called KariesNoMore. This activity was carried out at SDN Carenang Udik elementary school, involving 33 students as participants. The method used was educational counseling with a pre-test and post-test approach to measure the impact of the activity. The series of events included brushing teeth together, delivering material, demonstrating the application, and providing assistance to homeroom teachers to ensure the sustainability of the program. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in student understanding, as measured by the comparison of pre-test and post-test scores. The KariesNoMore application was very well received by both students and teachers, proving its potential as an innovative, interactive, and effective dental health education medium to support healthy living habits from an early age.
