PEMANFAATAN FASILITAS KESEHATAN DALAM MENGEDUKASI SISWA TENTANG PERAWATAN GIGI DAN GIZI SEIMBANG SDN PALEUH SERANG

Abstract

Student awareness in utilizing health service facilities is still very low. Health service facilities are the use of service facilities provided either in the form of outpatient care, inpatient care, home visits by health workers or other forms of activity for the utilization of these services based on the availability and continuity of services, community acceptance and reasonableness, easily accessible by the community, affordable, as well as quality. Judging from the health education event at Paleuh Elementary School, out of the 100 students who attended, almost 90% of students had never had their teeth checked at the nearest clinic, health center or hospital. It's not only dental health that is the focus of counseling on nutritional balance and hand washing habits are still very low among students. The method used is lectures, interacting between speakers and students asking questions using a Laptop LCD Projector, dental and mouth teaching aids by inviting health lecturers and health workers from Sari Asih Hospital. The educational material presented was about how students routinely carry out health checks at health care facilities and how to brush their teeth and wash their hands properly. The results showed that the activities ran smoothly, the students were very enthusiastic when the education took place.
