Abstract

The Student Work Lecture (KKM) activity carried out in Tanjungjaya Village found one of the problems in agricultural activities, namely the seed planting process which is still carried out manually. This method is considered less ergonomic and causes back pain complaints in farmers due to the continuous bending position. As a solution to this problem, the Group of 43 KKM of Bina Bangsa University through a work program in the field of Appropriate Technology and Information Systems designed and made simple seed planting tools made of used PVC. This tool is designed to be used while standing, so that it can reduce the physical workload of farmers. The assembly process utilizes materials that are easy to find and affordable, so the tool is not only cost-effective, but also environmentally friendly. The test results show that this tool can speed up the planting process, produce neater planting patterns, and can be used in various types of soil. It is hoped that this simple innovation can be a practical solution that increases farmers' work efficiency while supporting healthier and more sustainable agriculture
