Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Dalam Pembentukan Koperasi Merah Putih Di Desa Malanggah Kecamatan Tunjung Teja

Abstract

This study aims to describe the community empowerment process in the formation of the Merah Putih Cooperative in Malanggah Village, Tunjung Teja District, and to identify supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and initial impacts felt by the community. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as data validation through source and technique triangulation. The results of the study indicate that empowerment is carried out through stages of socialization, training, mentoring, and the formation of a participatory cooperative organizational structure. The main supporting factors include village government support, local economic potential, active community participation, and the role of community leaders. Inhibiting factors include a lack of initial understanding of cooperatives, limited capital, fear of failure, and the managerial capacity of administrators that still needs to be improved. The initial impacts of cooperatives include increased access to capital, opening up opportunities for marketing local products, growing collective awareness, and strengthening community social networks. cooperatives based on community empowerment can be an effective strategy to strengthen the village economy, provided that ongoing mentoring and transparent management are required.
