Abstract

The participatory parenting program at RA Bani Abas aims to enhance early childhood financial literacy through active parental involvement. This program utilizes the maritime context of Pulo Panjang as a relevant contextual learning medium. Activities include identifying parental needs, interactive counseling, maritime activity simulations, creative workshops for learning media development, and joint reflection and evaluation. The results demonstrate increased parental awareness of the importance of early financial literacy, understanding of contextual teaching methods, support for saving habits, and strengthened collaboration between families and educational institutions. This program emphasizes that active parental involvement through parenting is key to sustainable and contextually appropriate early childhood financial literacy education aligned with local socio-cultural environments. The findings contribute significantly to preparing financially savvy and responsible future generations.
