Abstract

Domestic Violence is a form of human rights violation that has serious impacts on the physical, mental, and social health of victims, especially women and children. Efforts to eliminate domestic violence in Indonesia have obtained a legal basis through Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence, which regulates aspects of protection, prevention, and action against perpetrators of violence. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the PKDRT policy in Cerukcuk Village, Tanara District, Serang Regency, with a focus on the role of village officials and community participation in socializing Law No. 23 of 2004. The method used is a qualitative approach through literature studies and regulatory analysis. The results of the study indicate that despite the existence of an adequate legal umbrella, obstacles such as patriarchal culture and low public awareness remain obstacles in creating a safe and violence-free household environment. Therefore, strengthening regulations at the regional level and training for village officials are strategic steps in accelerating the elimination of domestic violence in a sustainable manner.
